Kawasaki has updated its Indonesian product portfolio with the launch of the 2022 Z900RS series. The range comprises two models – Z900RS and the Z900RS Café. The standard Z900RS has been priced at Rp 304,000,000 (Rs 15.56 lakh) while the Café variant is available at Rp 316,000,000 (Rs 16.18 lakh).
Both motorcycles feature similar underpinnings and engine, although the Café variant gets a bikini fairing, dual-tone saddle, and different graphics. The mechanical specifications on both variants include a 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 107bhp at 8,500rpm and 95Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Both motorcycles use 41mm inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock. The front forks are adjustable for compression and rebound damping and spring preload. The rear setup can also be adjusted for rebound damping and spring preload. The braking tasks are handled by 300mm dual discs at the front and a 250mm single rotor at the back. The rider aids include a traction control system, ABS, and a slipper and an assist clutch.
The India launch details for the 2022 Z900RS range are not available yet. The retro-style motorcycle was available in BS4 guise, and we could see the BS6 model arrive in the future.
