- Gets two modes for traction control
- Boasts updated five-spoke alloy wheels
- Priced at Rs 3.35 lakh
KTM has launched the new 2022 iteration of its adventure tourer, the 390 Adventure, in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, KTM has made it more desirable by updating the equipment list.
The new 390 Adventure now gets two modes of traction control – Street and Off-road. These modes offer different levels of traction control intervention depending on the riding condition. Another change is in the alloy wheels; the new units boast five spokes, unlike six in the previous iteration. The company says these offer ‘increased stiffness and resistance for the rims.’
As for the styling, the overall design of the bodywork has been left untouched but the company has rolled out two new colour options that are inspired by the brand’s Dakar Rally machines. The 2022 390 Adventure is now available in KTM Factory Racing Blue and Dark Galvano Black paint schemes. The motorcycle continues to be impressive in terms of features with lean-sensitive ABS, a large 14-5-litre fuel tank, and a full-colour TFT screen that offers Bluetooth connectivity.
The engine is another element that has been left untouched. It continues to be powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC engine that churns out 42.3bhp of power and 37Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by WP Apex inverted forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock while braking is taken care of by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
