The KTM RC 200 has received its biggest update ever. While it has been overhauled in almost every area, the price has surprisingly remained the same as the previous model. In spite of that, at Rs 2.09 lakh, the 2022 RC 200 might still seem a little too expensive to some. If that’s the case, here are your alternatives that are priced nearly in the same ballpark as the new RC 200.
Bajaj Dominar 400: Rs 2.12 lakh
By paying just Rs 3,000 more than the RC’s price, you can go for the Bajaj Dominar 400. It’s majorly focused on touring with a street bike-like stance. Powering the bike is a 39.42bhp, 373.2cc, liquid-cooled engine that is quite potent. It also gets some premium equipment like upside-down forks, a slipper clutch, LED lighting all around, and a fully digital display.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 250: Rs 2.11 lakh
Priced nearly the same as the Dominar, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is for those who want something compact, peppy, light and distinctive. It is powered by the same 248.76cc as the KTM 250 Duke, but the Huskies have a different Swedish character of their own. While the Svartpilen is a scrambler-styled model, one can also choose the café-racer version, the Vitpilen 250.
Jawa Perak: Rs 2.06 lakh
For the riders who want something even more outstanding than the Huskies, the Jawa Perak is the only bobber in this price range. Its low-slung profile, floating-style single-piece seat, and bar-end mirrors lend it an unmatched charisma. It runs on a 334cc, liquid-cooled motor that produces 30bhp of power. Typical of a Jawa, the Perak doesn’t have many modern features to write home about.
Royal Enfield Himalayan: Rs 2.11 lakh
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the cheapest adventure touring motorcycles available in India. It’s a highly rugged and versatile motorcycle that can tour without any drama, go off the road at a single prod, and commute reasonably well. The latest model is also equipped with RE’s new Tripper Navigation system. The Himalayan runs on a 411cc, air-cooled motor that’s good for 24.3bhp and 32Nm.
