- New KTM RC 390 spotted on test again
- Launch expected soon
- Will be pricier than before
The next generation of the KTM RC 390 has been spotted testing. The fully-faired motorcycle has been spotted multiple times before in a disguised avatar. While the motorcycle is nearing its launch, a few KTM dealers have already started accepting unofficial bookings for the same. The booking amount is right now kept at Rs 10,000.
The company has made major changes to the design of the motorcycle compared to the existing one. This time the brand has tried to curtail the sharpness in the motorcycle's design by adding a curved flyscreen at the front. The new model will feature LED headlamp as against the projectors used on the existing model. The existing RC 390 uses LCD dash which will be replaced by a TFT instrument cluster. The bike will also retain features like a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire and ABS. In the spy images, the motorcycle can also be seen having orange coloured alloy wheels and a bigger disc at the front compared to the existing model.
We expect the motorcycle to carry the same powertrain, a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The launch of the motorcycle might be just around the corner, and considering the mechanical changes to the motorcycle, it will carry a premium over its predecessor. The KTM RC 390 is currently priced at Rs 2,76,993 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
