- Will get traction control, cornering ABS, and quickshifter
- No changes to the power and torque output
- Launch likely very soon
KTM India has listed the 2022 RC390 on its website ahead of the motorcycle’s imminent launch. The company has listed all the features that the India-spec model will receive. The list, similar to the international-spec model, will comprise traction control system, cornering ABS, a quickshifter, a TFT-display, and multifunction switchgear that will be similar to the 390 Adventure and 390 Duke.
The mechanical specifications would retain the BS6-compliant 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from the outgoing version. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.
The styling cues, similar to the international-spec 2022 RC 390, include a single-pod headlight, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, updated turn indicator setup, a sharper fairing design, a 13.7-litre fuel tank, a redesigned tail section, and a side-slung exhaust.
The company has listed the price of the motorcycle which is similar to the outgoing version’s Rs 2,77,635 (ex-showroom, Delhi) tag. However, do note that the website also lists adjustable front forks, which might not make it to the Indian market and the company may update the product page soon. The 20220 KTM RC390 is scheduled to arrive in the Indian market this month and we expect a launch announcement in the coming days.
