Triumph Motorcycles India has commenced the deliveries of the newly launched 2022 Tiger 1200 in our market. The flagship adventure tourer was launched in the Indian market on 24 May, 2022. It is available in four variants – GT Pro, GT Explorer, Rally Pro, and Rally Explorer – and prices start from Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India) onwards.
This Ducati Multistrada V4 and BMW R 1250 GS rival uses a BS6-compliant 1,160cc, inline-three cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 148bhp at 9,000rpm and 130Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and the power is sent to the rear wheel via a shaft drive system.
The colour choices standard across the range include Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black paint themes. Furthermore, the Lucerne Blue and Matte Khaki Green colours are unique to the GT and the Rally variants, respectively.
The standard features across the range include full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, adaptive cornering lights, Triumph shift assist, and keyless system. The Explorer variants further benefit from radar-based blind-spot detection function, lane assist feature, heated grips, heated seats, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
