Triumph Motorcycles India has announced the launch of the new Tiger 1200 GT Pro and Tiger 1200 Rally Pro in our market with prices starting from Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India). We recently did the first look review of the two motorcycles. And here we bring you the best images of the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro from its first look review.
Similar to the Tiger 900 series, the Tiger 1200 range is divided into two categories – Rally and GT. The Rally variant, as the name suggests, is off-road biased and packs equipment accordingly.
The off-road biased setup includes wire-spoke wheels and a longer travel suspension than the GT. The Showa-sourced semi-active suspension on the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro is rated to travel 220mm.
The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels feature a cross-spoke design, allowing the installation of tubeless tyres.
In terms of styling, the design of the new Tiger 1200 is an evolution over the Tiger 900 range. The flagship adventure tourer from the British marque features a sleek LED headlight with an integrated LED DRL, an adjustable windscreen, a beak-style front, knuckle-guards, and a tall-set exhaust.
The modern styling is complemented by a premium feature list that is at par with its rivals. Thus, the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro packs full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled colour-TFT display, and backlit switchgear.
The electronic suspension setup and keyless operations, including the fuel-filler lid, come as standard across the range. However, the Pro variant misses the radar-based blind-spot detection system.
The electronic rider aids include engine maps, riding modes, traction control system, quick-shifter, hill-hold, and ABS. The Bluetooth module brings access to navigation, music, phone, SMS, GoPro, and intercom system.
The mechanical specifications on all Tiger 1200 variants include the same BS6/Euro5-compliant 1,160cc, inline-three cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum power output of 148bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 130Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox and the power is transferred to the rear wheel via a shaft drive system.
The braking hardware includes Brembo M4.30 Stylema monoblock radial callipers at the front. Further, all variants use 320mm dual rotors at the front and a 282mm single disc at the back to handle the braking duties.
The Tiger 1200 Rally Pro is available in three colours – Snowdonia White, Sapphire Black, and Matte Khaki Green. The prices range between Rs 20.19 lakh and Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India), depending on the colour selected.
