Triumph Motorcycles India has announced the launch of the 2022 Tiger 1200 in our market with prices starting from Rs 19.19 lakh onwards. This flagship Triumph adventure-tourer will be available in four variants – GT Pro, GT Explorer, Rally Pro, and Rally Explorer. Check out the complete price list below:
1200 GT Pro: Rs 19.19 lakh
1200 GT Explorer: Rs 20.69 lakh
1200 Rally Pro: Rs 20.19 lakh
1200 Rally Explorer: Rs 21.69 lakh
The Explorer variants pack a 30-litre fuel tank while the Pro versions feature 20-litre capacity. The styling cues on all variants include an all-new design that looks sleeker than the previous version. The front fascia gets a sleek LED headlight with an integrated LED DRL. Other styling elements include an adjustable windscreen, a semi-fairing, a beak-style design, split-style seats, and a tall-set exhaust.
The GT version, similar to the Tiger 900 series, gets 19-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels that are shod in Metzeler Tourance tyres. This variant also runs with relatively shorter suspension travel than the Rally version. The off-road biased Tiger 1200 Rally series features a longer travel suspension and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels that feature a cross-spoke design. These cross-spoke wheels are shod in tubeless tyres.
The mechanical specifications on all variants include a BS6-compliant 1,160cc, inline-three cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 147bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 130Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The new Tiger 1200 range rivals the Ducati Multistrada V4 range and the BMW R 1250 GS series in the Indian market.
