It is also 2kg lighter than its predecessor. Other elements like the fuel tank, engine cowl, single-piece seat, split-style grab rail, and side-slung exhaust have been retained from the previous model. Meanwhile, the hardware comprises telescopic front forks and twin springs to handle suspension tasks. The base model, as mentioned earlier, gets a drum brake at the front while the other variants use petal-type disc brakes on both wheels.
Colours
The colour palette for the 2022 Apache RTR 160 is longer than the Apache RTR 180, and this Bajaj Pulsar NS160-rival is available in five paint options – Gloss Black, Pearl White, Racing Red, Matte Blue, and T-Grey. The graphics, too, have been updated for this 2022 iteration.

The updated feature list comprises an LED headlight with LED DRL at the front, an LED taillight at the back, and Bluetooth-enabled fully-digital instrument cluster with revised user interface. Further, this model also gets three ride modes – Rain, Urban, and Sport.
Engine
The mechanical specifications retain the 159.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The 2022 model, however, makes slightly more power than its predecessor. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 15.8bhp at 8,750rpm and 13.85Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. In comparison, the previous model made 15.3bhp and 13.9Nm of peak torque.
