- 2022 Yamaha FZ-S to get minor updates

Yamaha is likely to start off the new year with an updated FZ-S range that is expected to be launched in India soon. According to reports, the 2022 Yamaha FZ-S will be available in three versions and comes with minor updates.
To begin with, there are new colours on offer. The base model gets Deep Purplish Blue Metallic and Black Metallic while the FZ-S gets Matte Dull Red and Matte Deep Purplish Blue. Now, the new third version called the FZ-S Deluxe will be available in Black Metallic, Deep Red Metallic, and Pastel Dark Gray.
And besides the new colours, the new FZ-S Deluxe is also likely to get cosmetic updates like coloured wheels, dual-tone seats, and LED turn signals. It also gets an LED tail lamp that will also feature on the FZ-S. These changes will also result in a hike in price, according to the leaked document. The FZ-S will be priced at Rs 1.15 lakh; Rs 1,000 more than current pricing while the FZ-S Deluxe is likely to be priced at Rs 1.19 lakh. On the other hand, the price of the base FZ remains the same at 1.10 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
As for the mechanicals, the Yamaha FZ range will continue with the 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that offers 12.2bhp and 13.6Nm. Its suspension hardware comprises telescopic forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock while braking is done by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
