- Yamaha FZS25 could be updated soon
- Pictures of new colour options leaked
- Likely to remain unaltered mechanically
After launching the new DLX trim for the FZ S FI, Yamaha is all set to introduce a new version of the bigger FZ25, the S variant in particular. Interestingly, pictures of the motorcycle have surfaced on the internet ahead of launch.
The updates on the new edition of the bike will reportedly be cosmetic. It will come in two new colour options including Matte Copper and Matte Black. The leaked pictures also show the presence of golden alloy wheels which make it look more premium.
The 2022 FZS25 is likely to remain unchanged mechanically. It comes powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 20bhp of power and 20.1Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. On the feature front, there's full-LED lighting and an LCD console. The safety net available is limited to dual-channel ABS.
The existing model of the Yamaha FZS25 retails for Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom) and the new version will mostly be slightly expensive. It goes up against the Bajaj Dominar 250, Bajaj Pulsar F250, and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
