- R15M MotoGP Edition now costs Rs 8,100 more
- Both models get a new paint scheme over the standard models
- Mechanical bits and other aspects remain unchanged
Yamaha India has launched the 2022 MotoGP Edition models of the R15 V4, MT-15 Ver 2.0. Both models will be sold from Yamaha’s Bluesquare chain of dealerships across India.
The MotoGP Edition trim bumps up the aesthetic quotient when compared to the standard models. The bikes are now draped in black paint with Yamaha and Monster Energy decals. The latter is present on the fuel tank, fuel tank shrouds, side panels, and the headlight cowl.
That said, no mechanical or feature changes have been made. The R15M and the MT-15 are powered by the same 155cc liquid-cooled motor with the output rated 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm (14.1Nm for the MT-15). Even the features list, braking hardware, and suspension have been retained from the standard models.
The asking price for the Yamaha R15M MotoGP Edition is set to Rs 1,90,900. That’s Rs 8,100 more than before and the same as Metallic Grey. Meanwhile, the MT-15 Ver 2.0 MotoGP Edition costs 1,65,400 (both ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 2,000 more than its base model.
