Yamaha has launched the 2022 iteration of its popular neo-retro offering, the XSR155, in Indonesia. The motorcycle has mechanically remained unaltered. However, the two new colour options are worth taking a detailed look at in these pictures.
The more special one of the two adorns the Yamaha World Grand Prix 60th Anniversary livery that looks smashing and eye-catchy. This paint scheme is similar to the YZR500 race bike that was ridden by Kenny Roberts in the 500cc class of the 1980 Grand Prix. It sports white coloured body panels with red highlights, golden inverted forks, and golden alloy wheels at both ends.
The other more understated colour variant is Matte Dark Blue Authentic incorporating matte blue paint with silver accents. All other aspects of the 2022 XSR155 have been retained. It gets full-LED lighting along with a blue backlit LCD dash. Propelling the motorcycle is a 155cc, liquid- cooled, VVA-equipped engine that also does duty on the MT15 and the YZF R15 V4.
This powerplant churns out 19bhp of power and 14.7Nm of peak torque while being mated to a six-speed gearbox.Yamaha might not launch the XSR155 in India anytime soon. However, the brand does sell the more affordable, India-specific model, the FZ-X, here.
