- Yamaha launches the YZF R15 V4 in Indonesia
- Available in four colour options
- Two paint schemes exclusive to Indonesia
Yamaha has introduced the new 2022 edition of its small-size sportbike, the YZF R15 V4, in new colour options. Unfortunately, these colours haven’t made their way to India yet and have only been introduced in the Indonesian market.
Yamaha had launched the R15 V4 in India back in September 2021. The motorcycle is available in five colour options here including Metallic Red, Dark Knight, Racing Blue, Metallic Grey, and Monster Energy MotoGP edition. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, there are only four colours available two of which are the same as in India including metallic grey and racing blue. The other two paint schemes are exclusive to the Indonesian market.
The Yamaha WGP 60th Anniversary variant, in particular, looks absolutely stunning. It comes draped in white paint for a majority of its body panels with contrasting red highlights on the front fender, fairing, fuel tank and rear panel. There’s also a yellow patch on the front fascia. Enhancing its overall visual appeal are golden-coloured alloy wheels. It would be great if Yamaha brings this colour option to our shores, at least as a limited edition model.
Similar to India, Yamaha has launched the R15 V4 in two variants in Indonesia as well. These include a standard and an M variant with the latter incorporating additional goodies like switchable traction control, a quick shifter, and two riding modes. The motorcycle is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation. It churns out 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It also gets a premium set of hardware like upside-down forks at the front and an aluminium swingarm.
