Ather Energy has updated its 450X electric scooter range with a new software update and colours. For 2023, this electric scooter from the Bangalore-based manufacturer gets AtherStack 5.0 software update along with four new colours. AtherStack 5.0
The AtherStack 5.0 software update brings a refreshed look to the touchscreen instrument cluster. The home screen on the new user interface has been redesigned to allow users to set up their rides with options such as Bluetooth connections and navigation before starting the motor. Further, the new ride animation now shows both power usage and consumption in different modes. Then, quick controls have been added to allow users to adjust settings such as brightness or turn off incoming call notifications.
Further, the AtherStack 5.0 also brings vector maps that are claimed to be smarter and more intuitive than the previous versions. The vector maps come with live traffic and a navigation view showing the rider's perspective. The newest software also brings the AutoHold safety feature to the Ather 450X. This feature ensures that the electric scooter never rolls back or forward on a slope.
Ather Battery Protect
Apart from the new software, Ather Energy has also announced a new battery warranty program. The Ather Battery Protect extends the battery warranty to five years/60,000km. This program also guarantees a minimum of 70 per cent state-of-health for the battery at the end of five years. The 450X already comes with Ather Battery Protect, making it a five years (three-year standard + two-year extended) coverage. Meanwhile, Ather 450 Plus customers can purchase this additional two-year warranty for Rs 6,999.
Four New Colours
Ather Energy has added four new colours to the 450X electric scooter and the vehicle is now available in six paint options – Lunar Grey, True Red, Cosmic Black, Salt Green, Space Grey, and Still White. All paint options feature a single-tone finish along with a contrasting shade for the chassis. Further, the Lunar Grey paint option features a red colour for the alloy wheels. In comparison, all other paint options come with black-coloured alloy wheels.
Redesigned Seat
Aimed to enhance the comfort levels of the scooter, Ather Energy has redesigned seats on the 450X and 450 Plus scooters. The updated seat is now narrower in the front, flatter in the middle, steeper at the back, and has thicker padding. The company claims that the new seat accommodates riders across a wide range of built. The seat is compatible with all generations of 450 electric scooters and it can be bought by previous owners at the Ather Experience Centres.
Price
The 450X has been priced at Rs 1,60,205 while the Plus variant is listed at Rs 1,37,195 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
