- Chetak Premium updated for 2023
- Three new colour options added
- Gets a colour LCD console now
Bajaj Auto has launched the 2023 iteration of its electric scooter, the Chetak, in India. The updates have only been bestowed to the top-end Premium variant which now has more tricks up its sleeves. Amongst these updates is the introduction of three new shades in its colour palette.
The funkiest paint scheme is the Matte Caribbean Blue which gets blue colour on all of its body panels including mirrors and fenders while the wheels are finished in grey. The other two colour options including Matte Coarse Grey and Satin Black look more understated yet elegant. Other subtle visual add-ons include a two-tone seat, a satin grab rail, and a charcoal black finish on the headlight casing and blinkers. Apart from these visual changes, the 2023 Chetak Premium also gets a new fully-coloured, LCD instrument cluster.
All the other aspects of the Bajaj Chetak Premium remain unaltered. It runs on a 3.8kW motor powered by a 3kWh battery pack. The range and top speed delivered by this setup stand at 107km and 60kmph, respectively. Moreover, the charging time taken by the battery using a conventional charger is four hours. As for the cycle parts, it continues to ride on 12-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by a single-sided front spring and a single spring at the rear. Braking, meanwhile, is handled by a disc-drum setup with CBS.
The 2023 Bajaj Chetak Premium has been priced at Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and competes against the likes of the TVS iQube and Ola S1 Pro.
