- 2023 Pulsar 220F spotted at a dealership
- Official announcement awaited
- In demand in select parts of India
After the Bajaj Pulsar 220F was discontinued a few months back, the company is now planning to re-launch the bike in India. As we told you recently, select dealers have also started accepting bookings for the bike. Now, while we are awaiting an official announcement on the same, pictures of the bike reaching dealerships have started surfacing on the internet.
2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F relaunch
The Pulsar 220F was discontinued last year to make way for the new-age 250cc Pulsars in Bajaj’s portfolio. However, the demand for the motorcycle certainly hasn’t deteriorated, especially in some parts of the country like down South. Also, considering the fact the Pulsar N250 and F250 aren’t garnering healthy sales, perhaps it makes business sense for Bajaj to introduce the much older yet popular Pulsar 220F. Now, it remains to be seen if it will be available across India or select parts of the country.
2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F design and features
As can be observed from the image, Bajaj hasn’t executed any visual changes to the bike. And that’s understandable considering it has been popular for its existing design ever since its inception. So, it continues to sport a half-faired design with a huge front fascia, a muscular fuel tank, and a long tail with a split-type seat. In terms of features, it will expectedly be the same as the previous bike with an LED projector headlamp, LED tail lamp, semi-digital console, and a 15-litre fuel tank.
2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F engine and hardware
Similar to the design and features, the engine and hardware package will also probably be the same. It is powered by a 220cc, oil-cooled engine that produces 20.11bhp and 18.55Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suspended on telescopic forks up front and old-school dual springs at the rear, the Pulsar 220F rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Bringing this 160kg machine to a halt is a single disc at both ends accompanied by a single-channel ABS setup.
2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F pricing
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F was priced at Rs 1.34 lakh before it was discontinued in India. The 2023 edition, meanwhile, will mostly be equipped with an OBD-2 system which might hike its price marginally. However, it should still be priced lesser than the new Pulsar N250 and F250 which start from Rs 1.41 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
