- Pulsar NS160 to be updated with USD front forks
- Will also feature dual-channel ABS
- Asking price is set at Rs. 1,34,675
Bajaj is set to launch the updated Pulsar NS160 in India tomorrow. However, its asking price has been revealed ahead of the official debut, with the updated model priced at Rs. 1,34,657 (ex-showroom Delhi). Compared to the outgoing model, the 2023 NS160 costs about Rs. 9,000 more.
The most important updates for the NS160 come in the form of new USD front forks over the conventional telescopic units offered so far. And it now gets dual-channel ABS as well. Apart from that, the design cues and the bodywork on the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 are the same as the previous model. The LED headlight, chiselled fuel tank, split seat, and overall muscular build remain unaltered.
Like all the other two-wheelers on sale in India, the new NS160 will also comply with the OBD-2 norms (onboard diagnostics). So, it now gets an OBD sensor to monitor its real-time emissions. It continues to draw power from the 160cc single-cylinder motor, producing 16.7bhp and 14.7Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and situated in a perimeter frame.
The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 features the same semi-digital console but with a small tweak. It houses the gear position indicator along with various readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level reading, and more. Even the front disc brake size has been increased from 260mm to 300mm while the rear 230mm unit has been retained. It’s mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 100/80 front and 180/70 rear tyres.
Bajaj will officially launch the 2023 NS160 in India tomorrow, after which we’ll share more details regarding its bookings and deliveries as well. So, stay tuned to BikeWale for further updates.
