Bajaj Auto recently introduced the 2023 Pulsar NS160 in India, which came with a bunch of upgrades and feature additions. These upgrades have resulted in better handling capabilities and increased safety. Now, we have already tested the new Bajaj Pulsar NS160, but if you are in for a visual treat, here’s a detailed image gallery of the NS160.
The design remains unchanged on the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, except for the addition of the upside-down front forks, in place of the regular telescopic units. The USD forks get a brushed aluminium finish.
Besides the USD forks, the 2023 Pulsar NS160 also gets dual-channel ABS as standard, instead of the single-channel unit that was offered on the older model. Notably, Bajaj is using new Grimeca-sourced callipers for the disc brakes, which replaces the ByBre units that came standard with the older model. These are the same callipers that are found on the new Bajaj Pulsar N250.
Furthermore, the new Pulsar NS160 gets lighter alloy wheels, although the design remains unchanged. These are the same units used on the Pulsar N250, which offer lower rolling resistance and help in quicker direction changes.
On the features front, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is equipped with a halogen headlamp, LED taillight, split seats, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Bajaj has, however, added some more data points in the console, which now shows real-time fuel economy and distance to empty readings. You also get a gear-position indicator.
Mechanically, the new Pulsar NS160 retains its 160.3cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This motor produces 17.03bhp at 9,000rpm and 14.6Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The 2023 Pulsar NS160 has been priced at Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes against the likes of the Hero Xtreme 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Suzuki Gixxer.
