- Priced at Rs. 1,47,347
Bajaj Auto has confirmed that it will launch the 2023 Pulsar NS200 in the Indian market on 15 March. The 2023 iteration of this 200cc roadster-segment motorcycle will get a few upgrades over the previous version and will be available at Rs. 1,47,347.
What’s new on the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200?
The biggest change on the 2023 Pulsar NS200 includes the addition of upside-down front forks that replace the conventional telescopic units. Notably, Bajaj Auto already offered these front forks on the Pulsar NS200 in the Brazilian market where this motorcycle is christened as the Dominar 200. The upside-down front forks should further enhance the control and stability of the motorcycle. The suspension duties at the rear are handled by a rear mono-shock. Further, Bajaj has also added dual-channel ABS instead of the single-channel system found on its predecessor. Meanwhile, the 2023 Pulsar NS200 continues to use a halogen headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and an LED taillight. Do note that rivals such as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Hero Xpulse 200T 4V get more premium features such as an LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled fully-digital instrument cluster.
What hardware does the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 use?
The changes to the hardware are limited to the suspension setup. Thus, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 continues to use a perimeter frame, a 300mm single disc at the front, a 230mm rotor at the back, and 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. It boasts a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres and tips the weighing scale at 158kg. Other key dimensions include 1,363mm of wheelbase, 169mm of ground clearance, and 807mm of seat height.
Are there any styling revisions on the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200?
While Bajaj Auto has updated the suspension setup and the safety net, the motorcycle retains the styling from the previous iteration. Thus, the 2023 model retains an aggressive design for the headlight with a body-coloured cowl, an engine cowl, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, a two-piece pillion grabrail, and an underbelly exhaust setup.
Does the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 get mechanical revisions?
The mechanical specifications remain unchanged as well, and thus the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 retains the 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 24.13bhp at 9,750rpm and 18.74Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. While the numbers remain unaltered on the 2023 model, the motorcycle receives hardware updates to comply with the OBD2 emission norms. The On-board Diagnostics System detects system failures and indicates faults on the dashboard.
Which products does the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 rival?
As aforementioned, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has been priced at Rs. 1,47,347. It rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Hero Xtreme 200S, Yamaha FZ25, and Gixxer 250 in the Indian market.
