- Both variants get upside-down front forks
- NS160 priced at Rs. 1,34,657
- NS200 available at Rs.1,47,347
Bajaj Auto has commenced the deliveries of the newly launched 2023 Pulsar NS200 and the Pulsar NS160 in the Indian market. The updated motorcycles were launched in our market in March 2023. The biggest upgrade on both motorcycles is the addition of upside-down front forks that replace the conventional units on the previous model. Reportedly, Hero MotoCorp is working on similar suspension hardware for the Xtreme 160R. A test mule of the 160cc Hero MotoCorp roadster-segment motorcycle was spotted with this suspension setup.
Apart from the addition of upside-down front forks, Bajaj Auto has also revised the safety net on both motorcycles, and the 2023 iterations of the Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 now come equipped with a dual-channel ABS. Further, Bajaj Auto has updated the instrument cluster to display information about fuel consumption. Hence, the console on both motorcycles now displays a distance-to-empty readout, real-time fuel economy, and average fuel economy.
Meanwhile, the mechanical specifications remain unchanged from the previous versions. Thus, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 retains the 160.3cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that continues to deliver 17bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.6Nm at 7,250rpm. The NS200, too, retains the 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with four valves and three spark plugs. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine produces a maximum output of 24.1bhp at 9,750rpm and a peak torque of 18.7Nm at 8,000rpm.
The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and Puslar NS160 are both available in a single variant and have been priced at Rs. 1,47,347 and Rs. 1,34,657, respectively (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
