BMW Motorrad has announced the launch of the 2023 G 310 R in the Indian market. This entry-level model from BMW Motorrad India competes in the sub-500cc segment and rivals the likes of the KTM 390 Duke. Here we list the top five highlights from the India launch of the 2023 BMW G 310 R.
New Colours
The changes to the 2023 model are limited to styling upgrades in the form of new colours. The latest iteration of the BMW G 310 R is available in three new colours – Polar White with Racing Blue, Racing Red, and Cosmic Black 2. Apart from the new colour options, the 2023 G 310 R also packs bold graphics for improved visuals.
Similar Styling
While the 2023 model gets new colours and graphics, the design remains unaltered. Thus, the 2023 G 310 R continues to use a single-pod headlight with integrated LED DRL, body-coloured front fender, a muscular fuel tank with shrouds, engine cowl, a single-piece step-up seat, five-spoke alloy wheels, and a side-slung exhaust with the dual-tone finish.
Features
The feature list, too, is identical to the previous version and the 2023 G 310 R continues to use full-LED lighting, adjustable clutch and brake levers, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS as standard. In comparison, its rival, the KTM 390 Duke, packs additional features such as a colour-TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and a bidirectional quickshifter.
Unchanged Specifications
The 2023 model continues to use the BS6-compliant 313cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 33.5bhp and 28Nm of peak torque. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from a slipper clutch mechanism. The hardware list retains 17-inch alloy wheels, upside-down front forks, preload-adjustable rear monoshock, and single discs at both ends.
Price
The latest iteration of the BMW G 310 R has received a price revision and the 2023 model is available at Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it Rs 5,000 more expensive than the older model.
