BMW Motorrad has commenced the 2023 iteration of its GS Experience in India. This two-day curated training session, which is exclusively open for BMW adventure motorcyclists, aims to demonstrate the capabilities of the company’s GS range. The Indian arm of the Bavarian manufacturer will hold this brand experience across Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.
The first day of the program is open for the owners of 650cc and above BMW GS motorcycles. Meanwhile, the second day is reserved for BMW 310 GS owners. The training includes basic familiarity with the motorcycle, understanding of correct rider position, enduro steering, and other exercises such as gravel riding, emergency stops on slopes, emergency braking, and riding on inclines. Riders automatically qualify for level two training upon successful completion of level one.
Apart from training the riders, the GS Experience training also preambles the nationwide search for the Indian team to contest the coveted International GS Trophy. The 2024 iteration of the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy will be held in Namibia. BMW Motorrad India will hold the GS Trophy qualifiers later this year.
