While the silhouette looks unaltered at first sight, the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR has received minor changes on the front end. The fascia not only looks more aggressive but the split LED headlights are now topped by a larger windscreen. The latter has been done for better wind deflection.
Moreover, BMW has also equipped the S 1000 RR with winglets as standard on all the models and are claimed to offer 10kg downforce. Even the rear section has been altered by a margin and now looks sleeker than before.
Powering the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR is an inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled 999cc motor with the output rated at 210bhp and 113Nm. The engine is nestled in a cast aluminum frame and mated to a six-speed gearbox.
BMW has added new rider aids as well to the updated S 1000 RR. It features dual-channel ABS, traction control, four riding modes (rain, road, dynamic, and race), a bi-directional quickshifter, a 6.5-inch TFT screen, and more. BMW also offers a boatload of other features like pit lane limiter, cruise control, heated grips, wheelie control, slide control, and more as optional add-ons.
It rides on 45mm USD front forks that get preload, rebound, and compression adjustability. Meanwhile, the monoshock also offers the same. The S 1000 RR’s braking hardware includes twin 320mm front discs, and a single 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
BMW has equipped the bike with 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120 front and 190 rear tyres. The S 1000 RR tips the weighing scale at 197kg and gets a fuel tank capacity of 16.5 litres.
