- BMW working on the 2023 S10000RR
- Likely to get a power bump
- Could borrow bits from the M1000RR
It’s almost been three years since the current BMW S1000RR debuted. Since then the Bavarian supersport has barely received any updates. But that’s likely to change soon as BMWW could be working on the 2023 S1000RR.
From the leaked information, the 2023 BMW S1000RR could borrow some elements from the current M1000RR. It could also receive a small bump in the power. For reference, the current model dishes out 204bhp in its standard trim, but the new update could spike the power by 2.5bhp resulting in an overall number of 206.5bhp. The rev limit is also set to change from 13,500rpm to 13,750rpm.
That said, the design bit is unlikely to witness any changes. So, you can expect the 2023 BMW S1000RR to feature the same split LED headlights, the compact and aerodynamic bodywork with the bike’s track-focused build. But BMW could equip it with the winglets that the M1000RR sports. Elsewhere, the updated BMW supersport could also get a longer wheelbase to improve acceleration.
The bike is also set to retain the features, rider aids, braking and suspension hardware. As of now, BMW hasn’t announced any details of the updated model’s debut. Moreover, it won’t be a surprise if there’s price bump as well.
