- Updated BMW S1000RR launch tomorrow, 10 December
- Gets extensive updates
- Deliveries are likely to begin in January 2023
BMW Motorrad are all set to launch the 2023 S1000RR in India tomorrow, 10 December, just a month after it was globally introduced.
For the new model, the BMW S1000RR gets a host of updates. While the supersport’s aggressive and track ready design continues for 2023, it now sports aero winglets as standard fitment. These add 10kg of downforce, keeping the S1000R grounded under hard acceleration. Additionally, the windscreen has also been lengthened to improve wind deflection while tucked-in. BMW has also played around with the swingarm which now sports an adjustable pivot for personalized height and comfort. That said, the 2023 BMW S1000RR also comes with 46 teeth on its rear sprocket instead on 45.
The motorcycle also offers a bump in power which has gone up from 204bhp to 206bhp from the 999cc, inline-four cylinder engine. The Bavarian manufacturer has also tweaked the motor with larger intake ports that have been borrowed from the M1000RR. As for features, the 2023 BMW S1000RR features Slide Control as an addition to the ride modes, traction control, quickshifter and pitlane limiter to name a few. The S1000RR is also packed with hill hold assist, and a USB charging port too.
BMW will be offering the 2023 S1000RR in three variants- standard, Sport and M. While pricing is yet to be announced, the new model will undoubtedly cost more than the outgoing given the comprehensive updates it receives.
