Ducati has unveiled the 2023 DesertX overseas. It packs a couple of new updates over the standard model and here’s what we know about it.
The first tweak comes in the form of a new RR22 livery. It covers the entire bike in black, silver, and red shades. Overall, the RR22 livery gives the DesertX a better visual appeal too. Another update on the Italian ADV is the introduction of turn-by-turn navigation. It’s based on the Ducati Multimedia System and uses the bike’s dash to display the necessary data. The same tech will be offered on the Diavel V4 in the future.
Powering the DesertX is a 937 cc Desmodromic Testastretta engine with 110 bhp and 92 Nm. it’s mated to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter. And for the rider aids, this bike gets cornering ABS, traction control, ride modes, power modes, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control, and more. Meanwhile, the accessory catalog has a bevy of options including the aforementioned navigation system and an auxiliary fuel tank as well.
Deliveries for the Ducati DesertX commenced back in January in India. The bike’s priced at Rs 17.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and we expect the new cosmetic and feature update to be offered in India soon. It rivals the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally, Honda Africa Twin, and BMW F850 GS in the market.
