- Available in three variants – Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift
- Gets new electronics like riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS
- New Scrambler is 4kg lighter
Ducati has taken the wraps off the 2023 Scrambler lineup, just hours ahead of the EICMA 2022. The all-new Ducati Scrambler features mechanical changes and an updated electronics package. The motorcycle is available in three variants – Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift.
The new Ducati Scrambler is lighter by 4kg as compared to its predecessor, courtesy of a more lightweight bolt-on sub-frame, and new engine components. Moreover, the update includes new electronic aids like electronic throttle, two riding modes – Road and Wet, a traction control system, and cornering ABS. It also gets a new 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument cluster, which, along with an optional Bluetooth module can display navigation and other notifications. The 2023 Scrambler also gets LED headlights as standard across the range.
As a part of the generation change, almost every panel on the bike has been redesigned, be it the tank, side panel, seat, or swing arm. Now, while the Icon serves as the entry point into the Scrambler Brand, the Full Throttle variant is the sportiest of the lot. On the other hand, the Scrambler Nightshift variant gets a flatter handlebar, wire-spoke wheels, and bar-end mirrors. It is available in a single Nebula Blue paint scheme.
Powering the new Ducati Scrambler is an 803cc, air/oil-cooled, two-valve Desmoduo engine that is good for 73bhp at 8,250rpm and 65Nm at 7,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. As things stand, Ducati hasn’t revealed when it will launch the 2023 Scrambler range in India. But, given that the Scrambler lineup serves as an entry point into the Ducati brand, we expect it to be introduced sooner than later.
