Harley-Davidson has updated its Indian portfolio with a bunch of models, including the Heritage Classic. This American cruiser is hefty and has an immense road presence, similar to its brethren. Let’s take a closer look at it.
The 2023 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic features a round LED headlight flanked by twin LED positioning lights. Right below are the bullet-style turn indicators. This entire setup is further complemented by a large windscreen.
Then, the large visor covers the wide handlebar as well as the analogue instrument console. The latter comprises a speedometer with a digital gear position indicator, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip meter, range and tachometer.
Harley-Davidson has equipped the 2023 Heritage Classic with a 1,868cc V-twin motor which makes 94bhp and 155Nm. It’s linked to a six-speed gearbox and the brand claims that this bike can return 5.5 litres/100km (18.18kmpl) of fuel economy.
The 2023 Heritage gets 49mm telescopic front forks with aluminium fork triple clamps and the rear rides on preload adjustable spring. Its braking hardware consists of a front and rear disc with ABS, and the entire setup sits on cast aluminium wheels.
The bike comes with a split-seat setup where the front seat is scooped and the overall riding triangle is fairly upright. For added comfort, Harley-Davidson has offered large footrests at the front instead of pegs.
Owing to its cruiser nature, the bike comes with enough storage space. It gets lockable saddlebags on both sides. Even the 18.9-litre fuel tank should be enough to munch long miles. That said, the Heritage Classic is not light in weight as it tips scales at 330kg.
You can purchase the 2023 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic in four paint options – Vivid Black, Prospect Gold, Bright Billiard Blue, and Heirloom Red Fade. The base price is set at Rs. 26,59,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) but there’s an added premium as per the colours. The Prospect Gold costs Rs. 19,000 over the base price, whereas the Billiard Blue and Heirloom Red Fade demand an additional Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 90,000, respectively.
