Hero MotoCorp has debuted the Super Splendor Xtec in India at an asking price of Rs 83,368 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It gets a handful of updates for 2023 and here’s what we know about the new Splendor model.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec Features
One of the most significant updates that the Xtec trim brings is the addition of Bluetooth connectivity and a fully digital instrument console. So, the Super Splendor Xtec features a new LCD that can be paired with your smartphone and gives access to missed calls/SMS alerts as well as packs in various readouts. The list comprises a speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level readout, and mileage. Then there’s also a USB charging port below the instrument console.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec Specifications
Hero MotoCorp has also employed an updated OBD 2-compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder motor in the new Super Splendor. It makes 10.7bhp and 10.6Nm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. We expect this engine to be just as frugal as the one used in the other Splendor trims. Moreover, with the OBD 2 norms, the bike now gets real-world emission diagnostics over the lab-recorded results.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec Styling and Colours
While most of the styling on the Xtec model has been retained from the standard bike, the addition of an LED headlight is worth noting. The unit also features an LED DRL in between that separates the high and low beams.
Apart from that, the single-piece seat, grab rail, halogen turn indicators, and overall slim build remain unaltered. Meanwhile, the Super Splendor Xtec now comes in two new Candy Blazing Red and Matt Axis Grey paint schemes.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec Hardware
Along with the diamond frame, it also gets the same telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. Meanwhile, the front now sports a disc brake along with a rear drum unit with CBS (Combine Braking System). The 18-inch alloys come wrapped in 80/100 front and 90/90 rear tyres.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec Price and Rivals
Hero has priced the Super Splendor Xtec at Rs 83,368 for the drum variant and Rs 87,268 (both ex-showroom Delhi) for the disc brake model. It rivals the Honda CB Shine and TVS Raider in the Indian market.
