Hero MotoCorp has updated its adventure-tourer motorcycle, the Xpulse 200 4V. The latest iteration of this adventure-tourer gets several updates. Previously, we brought you the top five highlights from the India launch of the 2023 Xpulse 200 4V. Here, we bring a detailed image gallery of the standard variant of the motorcycle.
The most prominent upgrade on the 2023 model is the updated headlight that now includes a Class-D LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs. Hero MotoCorp claims that this setup delivers a 230 per cent improved light intensity for better illumination.
The revised front fascia also includes a new 60mm taller Rally-style windshield that aims to offer improved windblast protection.
The cockpit gets an upgrade too, and the 2023 iteration of the motorcycle benefits from an updated console that now shows a real-time fuel economy indicator. Then, the Xpulse 200 4V also gets updated switchgear, closed-loop type handguards, and an updated luggage plate.
Hero MotoCorp has also updated the rider foot peg position, and the updated setup is 35mm lower and 8mm rear set than the predecessor. The company claims that the revised assembly offer greater control during standing riding stance with a limited load on the riders’ wrists, and increased leg holding area.
The mechanical specifications retain the 200cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, four-valve engine. However, this motor is now OBD-2 and E20 fuel compliant. The new onboard diagnostic device monitors the performance of the catalytic converter and sends notifications about any faults in the system via a malfunction indicator light (MIL). Notably, the output numbers remain unchanged, and this engine continues to deliver 18.8bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm.
The updated feature list on the 2023 model includes three-level ABS – Road, Off-road, and Rally. These alter the level of ABS intervention. Notably, the company has retained the single-channel ABS setup on this product.
The base variant is available in three dual-tone colour schemes – Matte Nexus Blue, Techno Blue, and Black Sports Red.
The base model is priced at Rs. 1,43,516, making it marginally more affordable than the Pro version which is available at Rs. 1,50,891.
