The Hero Xpulse 200T 4V is the road-going variant of the much more popular Xpulse 200 4Vadventure bike. For 2023, Hero has gone ahead and made a slew of changes to the Xpulse 200T to make it more appealing. But will that be enough? Well, in this video, we answer that question by telling you five reasons to buy the new Xpulse 200T 4V and two reasons to avoid it.
Not just the pros and cons, but in this road test review, we also tell you whether the new Hero Xpulse 200T 4V makes for a good buy compared to its rivals like the Honda Hornet 2.0, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200. For reference, at Rs. 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) the Xpulse 200T 4V undercuts its rivals by a fair margin.
The Xpulse 200T uses the same 199.6cc four-valve, oil-cooled motor as the Xpulse 200 adventure tourer. The engine dishes out 18.83bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.3Nm at 6,500rpm and comes paired with a five-speed gearbox. The powertrain is known for its tractable nature but suffers from refinement and fuelling issues.
The motorcycle is underpinned by a diamond-type chassis, which offers an excellent handling balance to the motorcycle. The 200T 4V rides on telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the back. The suspension setup provides a compliant ride quality and good bump absorption.
