Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V in India. This sub-200cc roadster-segment motorcycle, which rivals the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS160 in our market, is available in three variants. Previously, we brought you a detailed first ride review and top five highlights of the new 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. Here, we present detailed images of the roadster-segment model.
The 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V retains the overall silhouette of the two-valve model. However, the latest iteration of the motorcycle gets a tweaked design for the headlight, an updated shape for the fuel tank, and a new belly pan.
Then, the Pro variant of the motorcycle further benefits from a two-piece seat as standard. In comparison, the base and Connected models get a single-piece seat.
The feature list, too, is similar to the two-valve model. Thus, this new variant packs full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster that displays a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level reading, and a clock.
The Connected variant, which benefits from a Bluetooth module, offers access to SMS and call notifications. This connectivity suite 2.0 uses an e-sim and works with a smartphone application to send out accident-related alerts, the location of the vehicle, turn-by-turn navigation, locate a dealer, book a service, or call roadside assistance. The Pro variant gets split seats, upside-down front forks, and basic Bluetooth connectivity that displays call alerts.
The mechanical specifications on the new Xtreme 160R 4V include a 163cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled four-valve motor that makes 16.6bhp and 14.4Nm, an improvement of 1.6bhp and 0.4Nm over the two-valve model. The engine on the 4V variant uses a bigger bore and a shorter stroke than the two-valve motor.
The base and Connected variants use conventional telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to handle the suspension duties.
Meanwhile, the Pro variant gets upside-down front forks that enhance the muscular looks of this motorcycle. The anchoring hardware across the range includes disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety net comprises a single-channel ABS.
The base model is available at Rs. 1,27,300, while the Connected and Pro versions are listed at Rs. 1,32,800 and Rs. 1,36,500 (all ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
