- 2023 Activa 125 comes in five colours
- Gets updated instrument cluster
- Engine is OBD2 compliant now
Honda has refreshed its product portfolio in India by launching the new 2023 edition of its 125cc family scooter, the Activa 125. The scooter has received subtle changes for 2023 which includes the revision to its colour palette; it is available in five colour options as against six paint schemes for the previous model. These shades include Rebel Red Metallic, Heavy Gray Metallic, Pearl Night Star Black, Mid Night Blue Metallic, and Pearl Precious White with Salen Silver Metallic.
As for the functional changes, the 2023 Activa 125 gets a tweaked semi-digital instrument cluster which incorporates information like an odometer, clock, ECO indicator, and service due indicator. Moreover, the top-end H-Smart variant comes accompanied by a Smart Key system which was introduced for the Activa 6G a while back. The Smart Key allows operating fuel lid, under seat storage space, and ignition from a distance. Moreover, it also facilitates the inclusion of the Smart Find and anti-theft systems.
Honda has also updated the engine of the 2023 Activa 125 by including the OBD2 system which will be mandatory from 1 April 2023. However, the specifications of the engine remain unchanged. It runs on a 123.97cc, air-cooled motor that delivers a maximum output of 8.18bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm. As for the hardware package, it is based on an underbone frame and rides on a 12-10-inch wheel combination which is suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. While a disc-drum combination handles braking duties, one can also opt for the more affordable drum brake variant.
The prices of the 2023 Honda Activa 125 start from Rs 78,920 and go up to Rs 88,093 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes against the TVS Jupiter 125, Hero Destini 125, and Suzuki Access 125.
