Honda has announced the 2023 iterations of its flagship adventure touring motorcycle range, the CRF1100L Africa Twin. This series includes two models – Standard and Adventure Sport – and the upgrades to both variants include revisions to the colour palette.
For 2023, the standard CRF1100L Africa Twin gets an updated Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colour, and a new Glint Wave Blue Metallic Tricolour paint theme. The iconic Grand Prix Red has been retained from the 2022 version. The Matte Ballistic Black Metallic features an all-black frame while the Glint Wave Blue Metallic Tricolour gets a new blue headlight cowl, blue front fender, and red and white detailing on the tail sections.
The Adventure Sport version, on the other hand, is now available in the new Matte Iridium Gray Metallic colour along with the existing Pearl Glare White Tricolour. The Pearl Glare White Tricolour theme gets gold-coloured wheels while the new, contemporary Matte Iridium Gray Metallic paint features black detailing along with jet black wheels.
Internationally, both models will be available with either a manual or a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The design remains unaltered, and the 2023 CRF1100L Africa Twin range continues to pack a twin-pod headlight, a tall windscreen, semi-fairing, tall-set exhaust, and an engine bash plate. Further, the Adventure Sports variant benefits from a larger fuel tank for better range.
