- Both bikes get two new colours
- Mechanical specifications remain unaltered
Honda has launched the 2023 models of its middle-weight motorcycles, the CB650R and the CBR 650R, in Europe. While both bikes remain unchanged mechanically, there are two new colour options on offer for each of the CBs.
The naked CB650R can now be had either in Matt Dim Gray Metallic or Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour. Notably, these will be sold alongside the older shades including Candy Chromosphere Red and Matt Jeans Blue Metallic. On the other hand, the fully-faired CBR 650R has been introduced in new Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic paint schemes. Besides the new colours, both the CBs are also bestowed with blacked-out engine casing and refreshed decals.
Coming to the engine, the CB650R and CBR 650R continue to be powered by a 649cc, DOHC 16-valve, inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 86bhp at 12,000rpm and 57.5Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. This mill comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch. Other features available in the bikes include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology, and Honda Ignition Security System (HISS). Moreover, a digital display and full-LED lighting are also a part of the package.
Honda retails the CB650R and CBR 650R in India with price tags of Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 9.35 lakh, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom). And the aforementioned 2023 colours for both bikes will certainly be introduced on our shores soon.
