- Gets new colour schemes
- Powered by a 1048cc engine with two transmission options
- No word about its India launch yet
Honda has taken the wraps off the 2023 NT1100 for global markets. And the Africa Twin CRF1100L-based sports tourer is now offered with new colour options as part of the update.
The first of the three new colours is called Gunmetal Black Metallic. International customers can also opt for the Matt Iridium Gray Metallic or the Pearl Glare White for the Honda NT1100. That said, the Japanese manufacturer has kept the rest of the motorcycle the same as the previous variant. It continues to sport a futuristic looking front end with a large windscreen and full-LED headlamp that seems to be Honda’s new-gen design language. Even the turn signals and tail lamp feature LED lighting. At the tail section, the NT1100 sports a tail rack and a pair of panniers that are colour matched with the rest of the bodywork.
Underneath, the sports tourer is powered by the same 1048cc, parallel-twin engine as the Africa Twin that is sold in India. It puts out 100bhp and 104- numbers that are similar to the ADV. Now, Honda is offering the NT1100 in two transmission options- a six-speed manual or six-speed DCT, just like the Africa Twin. As for features, the NT1100 gets all the bells and whistles required like five riding modes, engine braking control, torque control, wheelie control, heated grips, cruise control and ABS. It is also equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen that benefits from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That said, Honda is also offering a USB socket, ACC socket and centre stand as standard.
While the Honda NT1100 is an interesting sports tourer and can take on the road-biased versions of the Africa Twin’s rivals, there is no word about it being launched on Indian shores yet.
