- Jawa 42 Bobber priced from Rs 2.12 lakh
- Gets slight tweaks to engine
- Offered in three paint options
Classic Legends recently launched the 2023 version of the 42 Bobber in India. The motorcycle is being offered in a choice of three colour options with a starting price of Rs 2.12 lakh, ex-showroom.
To begin with, the least expensive of the lot is the Mystic Copper colour scheme. But if you choose the Moonstone White paint, you’d have to shell out 2.13 lakh, excluding taxes and registration. On the other hand, the dual-tone Jasper Red paint costs the most at Rs 2.15 lakh, ex-showroom. Well, with that said, the design and styling of the Jawa 42 Bobber remains unchanged.
It continues to be the only bobber-style option available in the price range. It also gets some elements like the round LED headlamp, bar-end mirrors, tear-drop shaped fuel tank to further push its appeal. Even the slash-cut exhausts have remained untouched.
However, what has changed is the engine internals. The 334cc, single-cylinder motor is said to have improved NVH levels. Moreover, it also gets a larger throttle body and exhaust ports to improve the performance. Now the power and torque figures haven’t been revealed but the motorcycle is expected to have slightly different output numbers. As for features, the Jawa 42 Bobber gets a full-LED headlamp, tail lamp and indicators. It also comes with a fully-digital instrument cluster, side-stand engine cutoff and ABS.
Even though it does not have a direct competitor in terms of styling, the Jawa 42 Bobber goes up against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 that is available with a single-seat option.
