Right after introducing the 2023 Eliminator 400 in the Japanese market, Kawasaki has launched an updated Eliminator 450 in the US market. The entry-level cruiser is available in three trims – standard, ABS and SE ABS. Although we have already detailed everything about the motorcycle, here’s a quick image gallery of the new Kawasaki Eliminator 450 for a better understanding.
The Kawasaki Eliminator 450 borrows design inspiration from the Vulcan S and is mainly identical to the Japan-spec Eliminator 400. It packs a round LED headlight, chopped fenders, a single-pod digital instrument cluster, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and split-style seats.
The top-spec SE variant features a headlight cowl, fork boots, a two-tone seat and exclusive colour and graphics. Moreover, it also gets a waterproof USB Type-C charging port.
While the standard and ABS models are available in Pearl Robotic White and Pearl Storm Gray colour options, the SE variant is only available in a single Candy Steel Furnace Orange/Ebony paint scheme.
Unlike the Japanese-spec Eliminator, which gets a 398cc motor, the Eliminator 450 uses a bored-out 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, linked to a six-speed gearbox. This motor delivers 49bhp and 43Nm of peak torque.
Feature-wise, the 2023 Kawasaki Eliminator 450 has full-LED lighting, a fully-digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, an assist and slipper clutch, and a Rideology App for smartphone connectivity.
This motorcycle rides on 41mm telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, while it is built around a steel trellis frame. The braking tasks are handled by a 310mm disc up front and a 240mm rotor at the rear. The safety net includes a dual-channel ABS as an option.
The Eliminator 450 rides on an 18-inch front and a 16-inch rear wheel setup. The front wheel is shod with a 130/70-section tyre, while the rear wheel gets a 150/80-section tyre.
