- Ninja 300 updated for 2023
- Received visual changes only
- No mechanical changes for now
Kawasaki recently updated its portfolio by launching the 2023 edition of its fully-faired motorcycle, the Ninja 300. As is usually the case with most Kawasaki updates, the only change the Ninja 300 has received is three new colour options. Nevertheless, these paint schemes are jazzy and bring along a breath of fresh air.
The new colour options for the Ninja 300 are called Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Grey. While the former two look bold with green (different shades) body panels along with edgy graphics, the latter looks a bit understated with a combination of black and grey livery. Apart from these new colours, Kawasaki hasn’t given any other visual changes to these bikes. Thus, you continue to get a sharp split-type headlamp, angular side fairing, sculpted fuel tank, and a raised tail section.
In terms of engine and cycle parts, the Ninja 300 has been left untouched. It continues to be powered by a 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, eight-valve engine with a fuel-injection system that delivers 38.4bhp and 26.1Nm of peak torque. This unit is linked to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Moreover, it continues to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels with telescopic forks and a monoshock while braking is handled by a single disc at both ends.
The 2023 Kawasaki is priced at Rs 3.42 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and it competes against the KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR310 both of which are cheaper at Rs. 3.16 lakh and Rs. 2.72 lakh, respectively.
