Kawasaki has updated its portfolio with the launch of another sub-500cc inline four-cylinder powered motorcycle, the Ninja ZX-4RR. This motorcycle has been launched in select markets, including the United States where it is available at USD 9,699 (Rs 7.93 lakh). Meanwhile, its Indian launch details are unavailable yet. Here, we bring a detailed image gallery of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR.
The styling cues on the ZX-4RR are similar to the ZX-25R. Thus, this new model also features a twin-pod headlight, full-fairing, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, fairing-integrated front turn indicators, and a split-style saddle.
Unlike its quarter-litre sibling, the ZX-4RR gets a side-slung exhaust instead of a compact unit.
The feature list on this motorcycle comprises LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch colour TFT display that works with the Kawasaki Rideology smartphone application.
The electronic rider aids comprise four riding modes (Sports, Road, Rain, and Rider), two power modes (full and low), a three-level traction control system, and ABS.
The mechanical specifications include a 399cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 16 valves (four valves per cylinder) that revs to a whopping 16,000rpm. Kawasaki has not revealed the output figures for this motorcycle yet. Meanwhile, the motor is linked to a six-speed transmission that benefits from a bidirectional quick-shifter and a slipper/assist clutch mechanism.
In terms of hardware, the Ninja ZX-4RR uses a trellis frame, and 37mm upside-down Showa SFF-BP front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. The front forks are adjustable for preload, while the rear features adjustability for compression, rebound, and spring preload. The braking hardware on this product comprises twin 290mm discs at the front and a single 220mm rotor at the back.
Internationally, the Ninja ZX-4RR is listed in a single paint option and this motorcycle features Kawasaki Racing Team-inspired colour and graphics.
