- Gets a new paint theme in the United States
- Priced at USD 10,099 (Rs. 8.29 lakh)
- Indian launch details unavailable
Kawasaki has updated its product portfolio in the United States with the launch of the 2023 Versys 650LT. Unlike the base model, the LT variant benefits from hard saddlebags and hand guards as standard fitment. While the LT variant may not arrive in our market, the new Metallic Spark Black with Metallic Flat Spark Black paint theme should be available in India in the near future. Currently, the company offers the Versys 650 in two colours – Lime Green and Metallic Phantom Silver.
Meanwhile, It retains the styling elements from its predecessor, and the 2023 Versys 650 continues to use a Versys 1000-inspired design. It includes a twin-pod headlight, a semi-fairing, a 21-litre fuel tank, a single-piece step-up seat, 17-inch alloy wheels, aluminium swingarm, and an underbelly exhaust. The feature list, too, has been retained from the 2022 model. The latest iteration of the motorcycle continues to use full-LED lighting, an adjustable windscreen, and a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch colour-TFT display that works with the Kawasaki Rideology smartphone app. The safety net includes ABS and a traction control system.
The mechanical specifications on the India-bound model are not likely to change since the motor already complies with the BS6 emission norms. Thus, it will continue to use the 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 65.7bhp at 8,500rpm and 61Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. However, Kawasaki will add the necessary hardware to comply with the OBD2 standards.
The Indian launch details for the 2023 Kawasaki Versys 650 are not available yet. However, we might see the updated model in our market in the second half of 2023.
