Kawasaki India has started to roll out the 2023 Z900 to its dealerships in the country. The latest iteration of the Japanese roadster was launched in the Indian market in September 2022 at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 8.93 lakh.
The 2023 model benefits from cosmetic upgrades in the form of two new paint options – Metallic Phantom Silver with Metallic Carbon Gray and Ebony with Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray. Do note that both these colours are available at the same price tag. The styling, features, and mechanical specifications remain unaltered and this Triumph Street Triple-rival retains the Sugomi design.
The motorcycle continues to use the BS6-compliant 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces a maximum output of 123.6bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. Meanwhile, the feature list includes a traction control system, power modes, riding modes, ABS, full-LED lighting, and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display.
The Kawasaki Z900 competes against the likes of Ducati Monster, BMW F900R, and Triumph Street Triple range in the Indian market. The bookings for the motorcycle have commenced across India.
