KTM India has announced the launch of the 2023 Duke 200 in our market. The latest iteration of this roadster-segment motorcycle benefits from upgrades over its predecessor, and here we list its top five highlights.
What’s new on the 2023 KTM 200 Duke?
For starters, the 2023 model benefits from an LED headlight as against the halogen unit on the previous version. The design of the new headlight is similar to the units on the KTM 250 Duke and 390 Duke. Meanwhile, this TVS Apache RTR 200 4V rival retains the LED tail light, LED turn indicators, and LCD instrument cluster from the previous model.
Does the 2023 KTM 200 Duke get any styling revisions?
The styling changes are limited to the addition of the new LED headlight. The rest of the design remains unaltered, and the 2023 model retains a muscular design, a 13.4-litre fuel tank, an engine cowl, a flat handlebar, a split-style seat, an under-belly exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels. This motorcycle is available in two colour options – Electronic Orange and Dark Silver Metallic. Both paint themes feature black paint for the chassis and orange colour for the alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the decals are identical on both colour themes.
What are the mechanical specifications of the 2023 KTM 200 Duke?
The 2023 model retains the 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that delivers a maximum output of 24.67bhp and a peak torque of 19.2Nm. However, this motor is now OBD2 and E20 fuel-compliant.
What hardware does the 2023 KTM 200 Duke use?
The hardware, too, remains identical to the previous version. Thus, the 2023 KTM 200 Duke continues to use a split-style steel trellis frame with a bolted sub-frame, WP-sourced 43mm upside-down front forks, and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. The braking hardware includes 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, while the safety net comprises a dual-channel ABS with supermoto mode and side-stand engine cut-off function. The supermoto mode disengages the ABS on the rear wheel.
What is the price of the 2023 KTM 200 Duke?
The 2023 KTM 200 Duke has been priced at Rs. 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it nearly Rs. 3,000 more expensive than before. It competes against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, and Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
