- Priced at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- Gets the same LED headlamp as the 390 Duke
- Remains unchanged mechanically
After being spied on multiple times, the 2023 KTM 200 Duke has finally been launched in India. The biggest update it gets is the inclusion of a full-LED headlamp which is the same setup as on the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke. Interestingly, the price has gone up by about Rs 3,000 and the bike costs Rs. 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) now.
The rest of the aspects of the 200 Duke remain unchanged. It continues to sport the same sleek and sharp bodywork which lends it a profoundly sporty look. The edgy fuel tank section and pointed tail look quite radical with its exposed trellis frame. Enhancing its visual appeal further are two attention-seeking colour options - Electronic Orange and Dark Silver Metallic.
Powering the bike is a high-revving 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces a healthy 24.67bhp and 19.2Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox along with a conventional clutch system. As for the hardware, the 200 Duke rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by upside-down forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, both sourced from WP. The stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends accompanied by ByBre calipers and dual-channel ABS which can be switched off for the rear wheel.
In terms of displacement, the KTM 200 Duke competes against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, and Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
