- 2023 KTM 200 Duke launched
- Engine now incorporates OBD2 system now
- Specifications remain unchanged
KTM has updated its 200cc naked street bike, the 200 Duke, for 2023. The only change it has received is the inclusion of the OBD2 system in compliance with phase 2 of BS6 emission norms. As for the rest of the details, the motorcycle remains unchanged. Let’s see what the 200 Duke has to offer as a package.
What colour options is the 200 Duke available in?
KTM refreshed the colour palette of the 200 Duke in September last year. Now, the motorcycle is available in Electronic Orange and Dark Silver Metallic paint schemes. Meanwhile, the design continues to be similar to its bigger 250cc and 390cc siblings. The 200 Duke is hands down the sharpest-looking motorcycle in its segment in India. From the front to rear, the overall bodywork comprises angular cuts and creases which make it look quite youthful and attractive, especially with the swanky colours.
How powerful is the engine of the KTM 200 Duke?
The 200 Duke is not just about its sharp design but also its performance also, which matches the sporty persona. Powering the motorcycle is a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill that produces 24.67bhp and 19.3Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox in association with a conventional clutch.
How premium is the hardware package of the 200 Duke?
The cycle parts of the 200 Duke are quite premium for its displacement. However, the highlight of the bike is its WP Apex suspension setup. It sports 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a 10-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Similarly, the braking hardware is also commendable comprising a single disc with ByBre calipers at both ends. The braking setup is accompanied by dual-channel ABS.
What are the 200 Duke’s rivals?
KTM has pegged the 200 Duke at Rs 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In terms of body style and displacement, it goes up against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, and Honda Hornet 2.0. However, on the pricing front, its closest rivals are the Yamaha R15 V4, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and QJ Motor SRC 250.
