- All variants differ in terms of equipment
- Priced between Rs 2.80-3.60 lakh
Over the last few weeks, KTM launched as many as three new variants of the 390 Adventure in India. As a result, buyers now have the option to choose one as per their requirements and budget as each variant brings a different proposition to the table. In that case, here’s a quick overview of all four variants of the 390 Adventure.
The most affordable X variant of the 390 ADV costs Rs 2.80 lakh. To make it more accessible, KTM excluded certain features like a TFT dash, traction control system, and a quick shifter which are available in other trims. What it gets instead is an LCD dash, switchable dual-channel ABS, and a ride-by-wire throttle system. The 390 Adventure X also misses out on Metzeler tyres and comes equipped with MRF rubbers.
For those who find the 855mm seat height of the standard 390 Adventure too tall, KTM introduced the new V variant of the bike. It boasts a lower seat height of about 834mm courtesy of a lowering kit which is essentially a different rear monoshock. Interestingly, KTM dealers claim that the ground clearance of the bike hasn’t got affected despite the lower saddle height. At Rs 3.39 lakh, the 390 Adventure V is priced the same as the standard model.
The most recently launched iteration of the 390 Adventure gets spoke wheels with Metzeler Tourance tubeless tyres. Moreover, with this version, the Austrian bike maker finally brought the adjustable suspension setup to India. Riders opting for the 2023 390 ADV can adjust the front suspension for compression and rebound and the rear for preload and compression. What’s more, this bike is adorned with a new orange paint scheme with Dakar-inspired graphics. All these goodies will set you back by Rs 3.60 lakh.
At the heart of four variants of the KTM 390 Adventure is a common 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 42.9bhp and 37Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox. All bikes ride on a 19-17-inch wheel combination with WP Apex suspension setup and ByBre brakes. A sizeable 14.5-litre fuel tank is also common across all variants.
