KTM India recently launched an affordable version of the 390 Adventure. It’s dubbed the 390 Adventure X and looks identical to the standard model. But the two differ in a few areas and so, we’ve explained both variants in detail.
390 Adventure X
The X trim is the most affordable of the two models on sale. It costs Rs. 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is about Rs. 57,000 less than the standard model. The KTM 390 Adventure X is powered by a 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine that makes 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm at 7,000rpm. It’s linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slip-and-assist clutch.
The motor is nestled in a trellis frame suspended on WP USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comes from ByBre as a single front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel shod in block-patterned tyres.
On the feature front, the 390 Adventure X gets LED illumination, a switchable ABS, and an LCD instrument console that houses readouts like the speedometer, trip meter, odometer, fuel level, and gear position indicator. KTM will offer the 390 ADV X in two paint schemes – Galactic Blue and Dark Galvano Black.
390 Adventure
The 390 Adventure is the standard model and has been priced at Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It features the same engine, hardware, and design as the X variant. However, the features list is what separates this trim and justifies the higher asking price. So, you get the same LED illumination and switchable ABS, but there’s also the TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity for your smartphone. It even features electronic aids like the bi-directional quickshifter, cornering ABS, traction control system, and the ride-by-wire.
KTM offers the standard model in the same paint schemes as mentioned above.
