KTM India has announced the launch of the more-affordable 390 Adventure variant in our market, and this version of the sub-500cc adventure tourer is nearly Rs. 59,000 cheaper than the standard model. Previously, we brought you the top-five highlights of the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X. Here, we bring you detailed images of this more-affordable motorcycle.
For starters, the KTM 390 Adventure X packs the same styling cues as the standard motorcycle. Thus, this variant comes equipped with a split-style headlight with twin LED DRLs, a short windscreen, a 14.5-litre fuel tank, split seats, a side-slung exhaust, and 19-inch front/17-inch rear alloy wheels that are shod in tubeless tyres.
The colour options on the 390 Adventure X comprise two themes – Galactic Blue and Dark Galvano Black.
Notably, the feature list on the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X is relatively lower than the standard version. Thus, this budget-friendly alternative gets an LCD screen without Bluetooth connectivity, a dual-channel ABS with off-road mode, a ride-by-wire throttle, a 12V USB socket, and a slipper clutch. Similar to the standard version, this variant, too, comes with full-LED lighting.
The mechanical specifications are identical on both variants and thus, the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure range uses a 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with a dual overhead camshaft. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor delivers a maximum output of 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.
Both variants of the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure use a steel trellis frame with a bolted sub-frame, while the suspension tasks are handled by 43mm upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock.
The braking setup includes a 320mm single disc with a radially-mounted calliper at the front and a 230mm single disc with a floating calliper at the back.
This new variant of the KTM 390 Adventure range has been priced at Rs. 2.80 lakh, making it Rs. 59,000 cheaper than the standard version that is available at Rs. 3.39 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The price of the 390 Adventure X is introductory, and KTM India will revise the ex-showroom tag in the future.
