KTM India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of a new variant of the 390 Adventure. This new variant, christened as the KTM 390 Adventure X, packs fewer features than the standard model and thus retails at a relatively affordable price tag.
What equipment does the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X feature?
Similar to the standard model, the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X packs full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS with off-road mode, a slipper clutch, and a 12V USB socket. However, this budget-friendly variant misses the TFT display with Bluetooth module and instead comes with an LCD dashboard and packs fewer electronic rider aids. The electronic rider aids on the premium version, for reference, include a traction control system, riding modes, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, and a quick-shifter.
What are the specifications of the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X?
The mechanical specifications on the X variant are similar to the standard model. Thus, this variant, too, uses a 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with a dual overhead camshaft. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.
What hardware does the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X use?
Similar to the mechanical specifications, the hardware, too, is identical to the standard version. The suspension duties across the range comprise 43mm upside-down WP Apex front forks and a 10-step adjustable WP rear mono-shock. The braking tasks are handled by a 320mm single disc at the front and a 230mm single rotor at the back. This variant, similar to the standard model, boasts a 14.5-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 177kg (kerb).
What colours are available for the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X and its price?
This new variant is available in two colours – Galactic Blue and Dark Galvano Black – and is priced at Rs. 2.80 lakh. In comparison, the standard version, which is fully loaded with all the electronics as earlier, is available at Rs. 3.37 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The 390 Adventure rivals the likes of the GMW G 310 GS in the Indian market.
